Golf del Sur and Entemanser have today officially presented the Open Amateur Entemanser 2026, a tournament that will bring together national and international players from 24 to 26 April at Golf del Sur in San Miguel de Abona, Tenerife.
The championship, consolidating its place as one of the highlights of the amateur calendar, will be played under the Stroke Play format and will be valid for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), reinforcing its profile and competitive appeal.
A platform to promote the Tenerife destination
During the official presentation, both entities highlighted the importance of this tournament not only as a sporting event, but also as a platform to promote Tenerife as a destination for quality sports tourism. In this sense, the Open Amateur Entemanser positions itself as a meeting point for sport, experience and territory.
The tournament will be played over three rounds, preceded by an official practice day on Thursday 23 April, allowing players to familiarise themselves with the course. The competition will bring together amateur participants of different levels, in a setting that combines technical demand and scenic value.

Golf del Sur, with more than four decades of history, offers a course recognised for its design and its integration into the landscape of southern Tenerife, making it an ideal venue for this kind of competition.
Prizes and complementary experience
In addition to the sporting component, the organisation has highlighted that the Open Amateur Entemanser 2026 will feature a prize programme rewarding participants’ performances across different categories, as well as a complementary offer aimed at enhancing the player experience.
In this regard, several accommodation establishments in the area have joined the event by offering special conditions for participants during the competition days, strengthening the link between the tournament and the Costa San Miguel tourist destination.
