What data we process and why

We process only the data you provide voluntarily and what is technically necessary to run the site. We do not build profiles and we make no automated decisions affecting you.
Contact form
First name, last name, email, telephone, subject and message. Purpose: answering your enquiry.
Event enquiry
Name, email, telephone, event type, date, number of guests and message. Purpose: preparing a proposal.
Tournament registration
Name, email, telephone and, depending on the tournament, nationality, federation, handicap, category, playing partner and notes. Purpose: processing your entry.
Consent record
Time, language, page, categories accepted, how consent was given, browser identification and a cryptographic digest of your shortened IP address. Purpose: demonstrating consent as required by Article 7(1) GDPR.
Web analytics
Aggregated usage data collected by Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-380980CB4J). Active only if you accept the “Analytics” category.
Server logs
IP address, time, resource requested and browser identification. Purpose: security and operation of the site.

Legal basis

Each purpose described above rests on its own legal basis:
  • Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): web analytics and loading of third-party content.
  • Contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): handling enquiries, event requests and tournament entries.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): retaining proof of consent.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): site security and prevention of abuse through server logs.

How long we keep data

Enquiries
For as long as they are being handled and thereafter until the limitation period for any related claims has expired.
Tournament entries
Until the tournament has taken place and been settled.
Consent record
Until you withdraw your decision, otherwise two years from the date it was recorded.
Web analytics
According to the retention period configured in the Google Analytics 4 property.
Server logs
According to the period set by the hosting provider.

Recipients and processors

We do not sell or share your data. To operate the site we use the following providers, which process data on our behalf under a written agreement:
Web hosting

James Ferraby Golf Academy — embedded booking system, only if you click the placeholder.
We may also disclose data to public authorities where a legal obligation applies, and to the relevant sports federation where this is necessary to process an entry.

International transfers

Google and Resend may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, secondarily, on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

Your rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:
  • Access to your personal data.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure of your data.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Objection to processing.
  • Portability of your data.
  • Withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
To do so, write to golfdelsur@golfdelsur.es or to the postal address given in section I, proving your identity. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid — www.aepd.es. You may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. IP addresses attached to the consent record are shortened before storage and kept only as a cryptographic digest: they prove that consent was given without allowing the person to be identified. The site's typefaces are served from our own server. Loading a page creates no connection to Google's servers.

Minors

The forms on this site are not intended for children under fourteen. If you are younger, please do not send us personal data without the consent of your parent or legal guardian. Minors are always registered for camps and activities through their legal representative.
