Environmental Policy

The General Management of Golf del Sur, aware of the limitation of natural resources, especially the scarcity of water in the Canary Islands, and of the environmental impacts associated with the development of our activity, decided in 2004 to implement the UNE-EN ISO 14.001 environmental management system.

At that time, we not only established our environmental policy, but also appointed a specific person responsible for it, thereby committing ourselves to the periodic review of our activities, products and services, always verifying compliance with our policy and applying continuous improvement as a result of its implementation.

Aware of the importance of preserving our environment and the value of the landscape where the course is located, we have developed an environmental management system that prevents the negative impacts associated with our activity, striving to optimise consumption. Our facilities and services must always be designed with the objective of optimising the sustainability of the course, preventing pollution and minimising negative impacts, criteria that must be taken into account in all present and future developments.

We are aware of the impacts generated by our golf course, and therefore our objective is to perfect sustainable management, committing ourselves to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability: social, economic and environmental, always with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction.

Likewise, we undertake to comply with all legal or other requirements applicable to the golf course in environmental matters.

Our approach must be characterised by objectivity, and we commit ourselves to raising awareness among all Golf del Sur staff regarding the principles set out in this document, which is provided to them.

This policy will be reviewed annually and adapted to the realities of Golf del Sur, the sport of golf and the destination in which it is located.
