The Open Amateur Entemanser 2026 has concluded at Golf del Sur after three days of competition that brought together 90 players, cementing its place as one of the leading amateur tournaments in the Canary Islands.
Played under Stroke Play format and valid for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), the championship stood out for its competitive level and the quality of the course, which once again offered a demanding layout in a unique setting beside the Atlantic Ocean.
Throughout the tournament, players faced a technical course shaped by factors such as the wind and the distinctive features of Golf del Sur's design, adding a decisive strategic element to the competition.
On the sporting side, Rafael González Albarracín was crowned winner in the men's scratch category with a total of 216 strokes, followed by Ramón Moreno Pulido, runner-up with 217 strokes, in a very tight finish. In the women's scratch category, the winner was Isabel Ping Martínez Guerra, with a total of 232 strokes.
Winners in the other categories were:
● Men's Handicap: Aarón Villoslada Rodríguez, with a total of 189 strokes.
● Women's Handicap: Edurne Lairihoy González, with a total of 217 strokes.
● Senior Category: David Aris Frías Morales
Beyond the competition, the event reinforced its social and experiential dimension with various parallel activities for players and guests, highlighted by the official cocktail at Hotel Barceló Tenerife and the closing and prize-giving ceremony held at Golf del Sur's own facilities.
