Golf del Sur's Jaume Montalat is the new Men's Canary Islands Champion 2026 after carding a superb round of 66 (-6), a result that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard with a total of 208 strokes (-8), finishing four strokes clear of runner-up Eladio Dano Pérez.
The podium of this Canary Islands Men's Absolute Championship — a counting event for the World Amateur Golf Ranking and the 2026 National Men's Absolute Ranking — was completed by Álvaro Gómez, who finished on a total of 216 strokes, level par.
Jaume Montalat started the day in second place, one stroke behind leader Eladio Dano Pérez from Málaga, but his flawless round of 66 with six birdies and no bogeys, combined with the Andalusian golfer's card of 71 (-1), allowed him to overturn the deficit.
From Golf del Sur, we would like to congratulate him on this tremendous achievement.
