The Golf del Sur sports project, through its competition team, is beginning to bear its first fruits. The Golf del Sur players competed in the Tenerife Provincial Championship organized by the Canarian Golf Federation and Buenavista Golf.
Miguel Galindo Aguado in the benjamín category won his first major title, with very regular play scoring rounds of 51 and 47 strokes for a total of 98 strokes. Second place went to Quim Rosales Grau with rounds of 50 and 51 strokes for a total of 101 strokes, third place went to Máximo Cabezas, with rounds of 47 and 56 strokes for a total of 103 strokes.
Tomás Díaz, also a member of the Golf del Sur alevín team, had a good performance finishing in fourth place with rounds of 52 and 56 strokes, for a total of 108 strokes.
Leo Calazancio also won with authority in the alevín category with rounds of 83 and 85 strokes for a total of 168 strokes. A brilliant weekend for Leo, showing very regular play, great attitude and continuing to add important victories, he is establishing himself as a player to watch in upcoming tournaments as a favourite. Mark Kaydo finished third in the same category with rounds of 93 and 97 strokes.
